Branding and packaging design for a luxury rice wine made in Hong Kong. Playing with texture, typography and a variety of media, this project took inspiration from Chinese numerology and calligraphy.
The result is a fusion between Chinese and English characters. Nine is a significant number in Chinese culture, symbolising the idea that everything can be improved.
Further project exploration lead to the development of a neon sign using the created word mark. This was inspired by the neon signs in Hong Kong, Kow Loon (meaning Nine Dragons).
